ABOUT THE PROGRAM
What is the Fembol Student Innovation Grant?
The Fembol Student Innovation Grant (SIG) is an annual student innovation competition and funding program by Fembol Group, designed to identify, support, and fund innovative student-led solutions across Nigeria. SIG 2.0 is built for undergraduate students and student teams who want to solve real problems in their communities and build sustainable, youth-led businesses.
Whether you're at the idea stage or already running an early solution, this student entrepreneurship grant gives you the funding, training, and mentorship to take your innovation further.
WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE
Grant Funding
Cash Prizes up to ₦2.5 Million
Winner: ₦2,500,000
First Runner-Up: ₦1,500,000
Second Runner-Up: ₦1,000,000
Consolation Prizes (7 Finalists): ₦1,400,000 shared
Free Training & Mentorship
All semi-finalists get access to a 2-day virtual Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp covering business planning, marketing, fundraising, legal frameworks, and leadership — plus a dedicated mentor for one-on-one guidance ahead of the final pitch.
Business Growth Support
The top three winners receive free legal/CAC registration, business setup support, and advisory services for up to three months after the event — real help turning your idea into a running business.
A Stage to Shine
Present your idea at the Fembol Student Innovation Conference in Lagos — a full-day event with 250+ attendees, live-streamed nationwide, featuring industry leaders, investors, and media coverage.
Ongoing Support
Grant monitoring and the possibility of further funding from Fembol Group and its partner network for standout innovations.
WHO CAN APPLY (Eligibility)
You're eligible to apply if you:
Are currently enrolled as an undergraduate at any Nigerian tertiary institution
Are aged 16–24 at the time of application
Have an innovative idea (new or existing) that solves a real problem
Apply as an individual or in a team of 2–4 (teams are recommended but not required)
HOW IT WORKS (Program Journey)
Step 1 — Apply Online Submit your application between July 22 – August 21st, 2026.
Step 2 — Get Reviewed Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Semi-finalists are selected and notified in September.
Step 3 — Bootcamp Join the free 2-day virtual Innovation & Entrepreneurship Bootcamp to sharpen your business plan and pitch. September 25 - 27
Step 4 — Become a Finalist Top teams are selected to pitch live at the Fembol Student Innovation Conference in Lagos by September 30.
Step 5 — Pitch & Win Present your solution to expert judges and a live audience for a shot at the top cash prizes on October 17.
Step 6 — Get Funded & Grow Winners receive their grant, business registration support, and up to 3 months of advisory services.

The Fembol Student Innovation Conference which is to hold on the 17th of October, 2026, will bring together finalists, industry experts, and youth attendees in Lagos for a day of pitching, learning, and networking, featuring a keynote address, expert panel, breakout masterclasses (Tech, Marketing, Agriculture, Healthcare, Climate Action, and more), an exhibition zone, and red-carpet networking. Who can apply for the Fembol Student Innovation Grant? Any undergraduate student aged 16–24 at a Nigerian tertiary institution, applying solo or as part of a 2–4 person team.
Is there an application fee? No, applying is completely free.
Do I need an existing business to apply? No, you can apply with a co-created idea or an existing early-stage solution.
When is the application deadline? Applications close August 21st, 2026. Apply early — reviews happen on a rolling basis.
What if I don't have a team? You can still apply as an individual, though we recommend applying as a team of 2–4 where possible.
